Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s William R. Kenan Jr. Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies Emerita Ellen Percy Kraly was honored by the Center for Migration Studies at its 2025 Academic and Policy Symposium in New York City.

Activist Fredrika Newton, president and co-founder of the Dr. Huey P. Newton Foundation, will deliver Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s 2026 MLK Celebration Keynote Address on Jan. 22, 2026, in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Memorial Chapel. The celebration’s opening ceremony and keynote address set the tone for a week of learning, dialogue, and collective action grounded in community, empathy, and justice. The MLK Celebration is a proud Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ tradition, organized by the ALANA Cultural Center and the Dean of the College Division. Other highlights will include a unity dinner, a day of service, and a social justice summit, featuring student leaders from the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ faculty, staff, and alumni regularly provide their expertise and contribute to national and regional media outlets shaping discussions about vital research and current events.

Mr. Robert Hung Ngai Ho ’56, H’11, C.M., O.B.C., passed away peacefully in Vancouver, Canada, on Nov. 30, 2025, at the age of 93.
